ANCHORAGE, Alaska + The Coast Guard says the five crew members of a trawler that went aground on a Bering Sea island have been safely hoisted from the fishing vessel.
There are no reported injuries among the crew members, who are being examined at a clinic on Saint Paul Island.
Petty Officer Sara Francis says the 112-foot stern trawler reported shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday that it was taking on water.
Francis says the Seattle-based Mar-Gun went aground at the north end of Saint George Island, 760 miles southwest of Anchorage.
Francis says the trawler is carrying 15,000 gallons of diesel. No fuel has been reported spilled.
